The blue column, one of the 24 sculptures,
which mark a five-kilometer course between the pine forest, the shores of Lac Saint-Point and the village of Malbuisson. These are works and installations by 28 internationally renowned artists who have been selected and invited by a selection committee composed of well-known personalities in the art world.
The twenty-four pieces, all original creations, were inspired by the landscape, know-how, the soil, legends, history or the inhabitants of this corner of the Haut Doubs. The visitor will follow the course as he pleases, in total freedom, and will naturally be invited to a dialogue between contemporary creation and the site chosen by the artist.
For the blue column, some reflections contributed to its erection.
Often in a course there are landmarks, such as buildings, works of art, objects and natural elements with trees, a stream, a lake, stones ..., which indicate the way.
Today, some works of the first demonstration of summer 2015 are still there and have found their place in the landscape.
For the 2017 summer show, a wooden sculpture was built by the Bruno Saillard carpentry, according to a plan that combines the principles of "the structure of correction", the main axis of my approach as a sculptor.
The principle is to propose the correction of a situation or an object. For example, this is a corrected palisade, which becomes a display column, which turns into a pigeon house for birds of passage.
Meanwhile, a small army of blue birds is waiting for the new arrivals.
