Chambéry d’amis
is the title of an exhibition that started on January 21, 2017.
Art lovers, Martine Buissart and Norbert Duffort invite every year one or two artists to invest their apartment. A quasi-private initiative, but open to the curious, friends and acquaintances of Chambéry and elsewhere.
In 2016 it was an exhibition of Carmelo Zagari.
This year, Martine & Norbert invited Delphine Coindet and Niek van de Steeg.
The exhibition is the result of a dialogue between a couple of artist friends and two friends.
The whole apartment is invested by the hanging and works dialogue between them and with the layout of the house. This exhibition has allowed each of the two artists to produce new works: Niek van de Steeg a ceramic-tile storage and Delphine Coindet two pieces including a sculpture-library.
In May, Martine and Norbert moved.
Today, they propose to the two artists to design a second version of the exhibition in their new apartment located on the 9th floor of the building of the Clos Savoiroux, known as "the boat", inscribed in the Patrimony of the XXth century.
