Lise Guéhenneux write in BlocNotes #2 : Niek van de Steeg worked the concept of exhibition became the starting point for the installation and a place of displacement. Transforming the gallery into an exhibition stand, the installation announced the arrival of an urban sysytem in Nice - which had been previously installed in Bilbao during the summer of 1992 - and included a press release and photographic images. The idea of a monument to Europe via the modernn and functional nature of its architecture became a metaphor for a world where every event exists once it is given media coverage.
